Greenwood, Mississippi or bust

Greenwood's ZIP code is 38930. Some cities like to brag about their 42 ZIP codes because it means they're big and fancy, but I love that Greenwood is small enough to have just one. It represents all of us, and that is why 38930 is so endearing.

Make room for me and my pins!

I have to admit my 38930 design is a bit derivative. Around town I had seen products sporting our ZIP. They were so cute: pillows, welcome mats, tote bags—but no enamel pins.

I drafted several designs for this special Greenwood pin. One was homey. Another was lovey dovey. But I went back to basics. A simple pin design would allow the star—our ZIP code— to take center stage.

The pin's overall style mimicks a decorative sign you'd put on your front door to indicate your house number, or a lawn sign displaying your address. Of course these signs come in all kinds of designs. I went with a more traditional, elegant look because Greenwood is a beautiful and classy town.

Just like my other Mississippi pins, this one is made from an iron base with gold plating and black enamel paint. There are two pin backs and butterfly clutches to keep it secure.

Greenwood sez, "You know my name. Look up the number."
